Patti Bruns, the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Arctic Mayors Forum, and Tuula Rintala-Gardin, Director of International Relations for the City of Rovaniemi, met with the UArctic International Secretariat at the Univeristy of Lapland on Sept 20.

SIOI – UNA Italy and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Italy, in collaboration with the High North Center for Business and Governance – Nord University (Bodø), launch the International Symposium “The Great Challenge of the Arctic: perspectives and changes for a peaceful cooperation”.








UArctic member Institute of the North and its partners has announced the Arctic Resilient Communities Youth Fellowship (ARC-YF), which is a new initiative to educate and train young community leaders (age 18-23) to both serve a direct role in and benefit from the prosperity of resilient Arctic communities.


The UArctic Thematic Network on Local-scale Planning, Climate Change and Resilience and Live It Earth partnered to create a bilingual educational program with supplemental resources featuring climate stories of resilience and adaptations from across the Canadian Arctic.
