High North Hero for 2022

The High North Hero Award is an annual award established by the High North Center for Business and Governance to honor a person, organization or company who has contributed to highlighting or developing the High North. The award is handed out during the High North Dialogue Conference in Bodø. 



Professor Roland Kallenborn from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) is appointed UArctic Chair in Arctic Environmental Pollution Research for the next five years.









The monograph published by the Wilson Center - Polar Institute puts forth a framework for understanding the Arctic for experts and the public alike, through seven key issues at play in today's Arctic: climate, commodities, commerce, connectivity, communities, cooperation, and competition.
