The One Health program looks at the holistic approach to the health of humans, animals, and the environment, recognizing that the health of all three are interconnected. This provides an approach to well-being that addresses the root-causes of problems, leading to better health outcomes and resilience. The One Health concept stems from Indigenous worldviews and is part of the development of a sustainable future in the Arctic, and it has been endorsed by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the Arctic Council.
