Canadian Science Writers AssociationTen researchers will be given the opportunity to give a two-minute introduction to their research at the plenary session prior to the poster session. The poster session will provide some of Canada’s top journalists and science writers with leads on news stories, and will give researchers an opportunity to gain wider exposure for your research.

Organizers are looking for original work that is timely and newsworthy. Areas of interest include all northern-themed research: global warming consequences, innovative technology research, sociology, anthropology, health, conservation biology, etc.

The deadline for proposals is May 2, 2008. Conference registration is free to presenters and there is no poster session fee.
